FTPUpdateSearcher.com Releases FTPUpdateSearcher 1.0
Smart software utility finds FTP servers, scans them periodically for
updates and downloads files automatically or on schedule.
FTPUpdateSearcher, as the name implies, is a software tool that checks
FTP servers to see if there are any updates available. The software
is great for folks who download files, games, songs or movies on a
regular basis and would like to automate the task.
Unfortunately, even though there are hundreds of thousands FTP servers
with billions of files, there are very few software applications that
help regular folks find and mine these "cyber treasures".
FTPUpdateSearcher can be used to find FTP servers by scanning an IP
range, locating even hidden FTP servers that do not ping. In addition
to that the program can find FTP servers that are accessed through
non-standard ports.
Once the port is located, FTPUpdateSearcher will index its contents.
If necessary, a user may opt out of indexing some files or folders by
assigning mask ("music", "software" or "video", for example). Since
program users can directly point to the index file for a particular
FTP server, the indexing step may be skipped, which saves up a lot of
time.
After the indexing is complete, the program will automatically notify
when new files appear or when size/date of designated files has
changed. FTPUpdateSearcher can be configured to automatically
download files (including scheduling the task for certain times or
days). Multiple threads and adjustable loading speed are supported,
plus uploading/downloading can be paused and resumed at any moment.
In addition to that, the program forms reports that can be e-mailed or
uploaded to FTP.
