TomTom Media Center si comporta come un vero centro di intrattenimento integrando un player per MP3 player e video che permette la riproduzione di file video pre-convertiti.
L'accessorio di conversione in dotazione facilita la conversione dei video in vari formati.
Le opzioni di conversione includono compressioni in serie, settaggi per la qualità video e le dimensioni, sottotitoli, taglio delle bande nere, test di conversione, e aumento del volume.
Il file video compresso può essere riprodotto dalla scheda di memoria o dall'hard disk interno.
Il software di conversione è compatibile con Windows (XP/2000/2003). Il software converte i contenuti video (DVD, AVI, MPEG1, MPEG4, DivX, XVID) in MPEG4. Il file convertito è caricato sul TomTom tramite USB o lettore di shede SD.
Il software aggiunge nuove potenzialità per gli utilizzatori di TomTom che viaggiano frequentemente, parenti, uomini d'affari.
