She made her screen debut in 2003 and appeared in the Hollywood films Thirteen and Thunderbirds, before reaching fame in the 2006 hit Disney Channel film, High School Musical. Hudgens also began a music career and released her debut album, entitled V, in 2006. In 2007, Hudgens became the spokesperson for Neutrogena.Vanessa is no stranger to performing. She made her feature film debut in Catherine Hardwicks Thirteen starring Holly Hunter and Evan Rachel Wood. Most recently she co-starred in the action-adventure film Thunderbirds and is a recurring guest star on the Disney Channels The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Vanessa began her acting career in musical theater when she was 8 years old. She has played leading and supporting roles in Evita, Carousel, The Wizard of Oz, The King and I, The Music Man., Cinderella, and Damn Yankees, among others.After the 2006 phenomenon High School Musical -- which included the best-selling soundtrack and several Teen Choice Awards -- Hudgens was offered a recording deal, and began working on her album that summer. Simply named V, the album came out that fall, just as Hudgens began working on the High School Musical sequel.
