Image.InfoCards (IIC for short), the name of this technology, will let users package together two valuable items: images and their related info. By taking advantage of file format features, the image's visual information and functionality remain unaffected.
The information is organized in user-friendly packets called "Cards", which can then be embedded on the popular JPEG, GIF and PNG image formats. These "Cards" can be accessed by any "IIC-aware" application on any hardware platform, for the purposes of documentation, database management, contact promotion and much more.
